15-Bit Digital I/O Modules
 

The D1700 digital I/O modules allow a host computer to control thousands of digital I/O points from one serial port.

 
D1711 and D1712
The D1711 and D1712 Digital I/O modules contain 15 user-selectable input/output bits. The bits can be individually programmed as digital inputs or digital outputs. A user-programmable Initial value can be assigned to each digital output bit, to turn "on" or "off" on power-up.

The modules contain a communications "watchdog" timer that can move the digital outputs to a safe-condition in the event of a communications link failure.   

The modules contain an Events counter that can be used to count positive transitions, from logic "0" to a logic "1", on the B00 terminal. The module can count pulses up to 10 million.

The D1711 contains an RS-232 serial output and the D1712 contains an RS-485 serial output.

D1701 and D1702
The D1701 and D1702 Digital I/O modules contain seven digital input and eight digital output bits. 

The digital input bits contain internal "pull-up" resistors. Therefore, a simple set of contacts can be applied between a digital input bit and ground. 

The modules contain an Events counter that can be used to count positive transitions, from logic "0" to a logic "1", on the EV input terminal. The module can count pulses up to 10 million.

The D1701 contains an RS-232 serial output and the D1702 contains an RS-485 serial output.
