The 1700 series digital I/O products provide computer monitoring of digital
input and digital output signals
and control of industrial devices through solid state
relays.
The D1700 digital I/O modules
allow a single host computer to control thousands of I/O points from one serial port.
The digital inputs accept a wide signal level input, up to +30Vdc without damage, and
have TTL logic input switching levels. The digital outputs are open-collector transistors
offering the most flexibility for almost any application. The digital outputs will also
sink: 30mA (D1701/D1702), 100mA (D1711/D1712), making them ideal for controlling solid state relays.
The H1700 digital I/O
boards provide direct interface to industry
standard mounting racks and solid-state relays. Industry standard mounting racks can be
controlled directly with the H1750 or H1770 digital I/O boards.
The 1700M
Modbus series is also available. It is similar to the 1700 Series but
communicates using the Modbus RTU protocol.
The status of digital inputs and
digital outputs are communicated to any host serial
port in ASCII using either RS-232 or RS-485.
The
D1700 digital I/O modules can also be mounted on a DIN-Rail using the MK-1
mounting kit.
